64	64	O.S. 2021, Section 2 -114, which relates to release of
65	65	minor ward at majority; authorizing extension of
66	66	certain guardianship; establishing maximum age for
67	67	certain ward; and provi ding an effective date .

71	71	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
72	72	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 30 O.S. 2021, Section 2 -114, is
73	73	amended to read as follows:
74	74	Section 2-114. After a minor ward has come to his majority,
75	75	such ward may settle accounts with his guardian and give him a
76	76	release, which is valid, subject to approval of the court, if
77	77	obtained fairly and without undue inf luence. Provided, however,
78	78	guardianship of a minor ward may extend past the age of majority as
79	79	long as the ward is enrolled in and attending high school. In no
80	80	event shall such guardianship extend after the ward reaches twenty-
81	81	one (21) years of age.
82	82	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
