7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE S TATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 14A O.S. 2021, Section 6-501, is
7777 amended to read as follows:

138138 (i) a. The Consumer Credit Advisory Committ ee shall be
139139 appointed by the Commission on Consumer Credit and
140140 shall consist of the following members: two three
141141 licensed supervised lenders, one of whom shall be
142142 recommended for appointment by the Oklahoma Consumer
143143 Finance Association and, one of whom shall be
144144 recommended for appointment by the Independent Finance
145145 Institute, and one of whom shall be recommended for
146146 appointment by the Oklahoma Consumer Credit Coal ition;
147147 one licensed pawnbroker recommended for appointment by
148148 the Oklahoma Pawnbrokers Associat ion; one licensed
149149 mortgage broker and mortgage loan originator
150150 recommended for appointment by the Oklahoma
151151 Association of Mortgage Professionals; one licensed
152152 rental dealer recommended for appointment by the
153153 Oklahoma Rental Deal ers Association; one license d
154154 precious metal and gem d ealer; one licensed health
155155 spa; one licensed credit services organization; one
156156 entity or individual that has filed notification
157157 pursuant to Section 6 -202 of this title; one entity
158158 licensed as a deferred deposit lender recommended for
159159 appointment by the Com munity Financial Services
160160 Association of America; and the Administrator of

213213 shall serve as the Ch air of the Advisory Committee.
214214 If a licensee is an entity, the Commission may appoint
215215 an employee of the licensed entity to serve on the
216216 Consumer Credit Advisory Committee. The Commission
217217 shall have authority to prescribe rules to govern
218218 appointments to the Consumer Credit Advisory
219219 Committee.
220220 (ii) b. The appointments shall be a pub lic record of the
221221 Department of Consumer Credit. The term of office for
222222 each appointed member shall begin January 1, 2011, and
223223 shall continue for a period of four (4) years exp iring
224224 on January 1. For initial appointments, the
225225 Commission shall appoint two members to serve for a
226226 term of one (1) year, two members to serve for a term
227227 of two (2) years, three members to serve for a term of
228228 three (3) years, and three members to serve for a term
229229 of four (4) years from their respective dates of
230230 appointment and qualification. Each appointed m ember
231231 shall be eligible for reappointment.
232232 (iii) c. The Consumer Credit Advisory Committee may
233233 advise the Commission of on Consumer Credit regarding
234234 matters pertaining to the Department of Consumer
235235 Credit and provide recommendatio ns. The Consumer
236236 Credit Advisory Committee shall also have the

290290 (iv) d. The Consumer Credit Advisory Committee shall
291291 meet on an annual basis and at such other times as
292292 necessary.
293293 (v) e. Meetings of the Consumer Credit Advisory
294294 Committee shall be held in accordance with the
295295 Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.
296296 (vi) f. Members of the Consumer Credit Advisory
297297 Committee may be reimbur sed for travel costs in
298298 accordance with the State T ravel Reimbursement Act.
299299 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
