46 | 84 | | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 481, is |

48 | 86 | | Section 481. A. A State Board of Medical Licensure and |

49 | 87 | | Supervision hereinafter referred to as the “Board”, is hereby re- |

50 | 88 | | created, to continue until July 1, 2024, in accordance with the |

51 | 89 | | provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset Law. |

52 | 90 | | B. The Board shall be composed of seven (7) five allopathic |
---|
53 | 91 | | physicians licensed to practice m edicine in this state and represent |
---|
54 | | - | the public, two physician assistants licensed to practice medicine |
---|
55 | | - | in this state, and four (4) two lay members. All members of the |
---|
56 | | - | Board shall be residents of this state . |

57 | | - | C. 1. The physician members of the Board shall be graduates of |
---|
58 | | - | legally chartered medical schools recognized by the Oklahoma State |

98 | 160 | | state for the three (3) years immediately preceding their |

99 | 161 | | appointment to the Boar d. |

140 | 226 | | SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 482, is |

151 | 237 | | of the term for which appointed or until a qualified successor has |

152 | 238 | | been duly appointed. An appointment shall be made by the Governor |

153 | 239 | | appointing authority within ninety (90) days after the expiration of |

154 | 240 | | the term of any member or the occurrence of a vacancy o n the Board |

155 | 241 | | due to resignation, death, or any caus e resulting in an unexpired |

199 | 309 | | of trustees of any medica l school. A member of the Board shall be |

200 | 310 | | prohibited from voting on any issue in which the member has a direct |
---|
201 | 311 | | financial interest. |

202 | 312 | | SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 20 23. |
