7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4263 of Title 74, unl ess there
7878 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
7979 A. Except as provided by subsection B of this section, no
8080 elected official within three (3) months prior to a n election in
8181 which the elected official ’s name will appear on the ballot shall
8282 use or allow to be used such official ’s name, image, likeness , or
8383 voice in a public service announcement or in an advertisement or
8484 other promotional message created or purchase d using public funds.
8585 B. Nothing in this sectio n shall apply during a declared state
8686 disaster or emergency. For purposes of this section a “declared
8787 state disaster or emergency ” means an event:

139139 1. For which a Governor ’s state of emergency proclamation has
140140 been issued;
141141 2. For which a Presidenti al Major Disaster or Emergency
142142 Declaration has been issued; or
143143 3. Such as another disaster or emergency event within the state
144144 for which a good-faith response effort is requir ed and for which
145145 another authorized official of the state designates such eve nt as a
146146 disaster or emergency.
147147 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
