75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAH OMA:
76	76	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
77	77	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 25 of Title 51, unless there is
78	78	created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
79	79	A. As used in this section :
80	80	1. “Public officer” means any public official or any employee
81	81	of a law enforcement agency as defined in Section 2 4A.3 of Title 51
82	82	of the Oklahoma Statu tes; and
83	83	2. “Gun control policy” means a set of laws or policies that
84	84	regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, modification,
85	85	or use of firearms by civilians.
86	86	B. A public officer or the employees of a pub lic officer shall
87	87	not use public monies or cause public monies to be used for the

139	139	advocacy or promotion of gun control policy and shall be
140	140	specifically prohibited from doing any of the foll owing:
141	141	1. Using publicity or propaganda for purposes of advocating or
142	142	promoting gun control policy or preparing, distributing , or using
143	143	any kit, pamphlet, bookle t, publication, electronic communication,
144	144	or radio, television, or video presentation designed to support or
145	145	defeat the enactment of legislation, an ordinance, r ule, regulation,
146	146	or administrative action relating to gun control policy;
147	147	2. Paying the salary or expenses of any grant or contract
148	148	recipient or agent acting on behalf of the recipient, if the grant
149	149	or contract is related to any activity designed to influ ence the
150	150	enactment of legislation, an ordinance, rule, regulation , or
151	151	administrative action rel ating to gun control policy; or
152	152	3. Advocating or promoting any proposed, pending, or future
153	153	federal, state, or local tax increase relating to gun control
154	154	policy, or any proposed, pending , or future requirement or
155	155	restriction on any legal consumer product including the sale and
156	156	marketing of the legal consumer product relating to the advocacy or
157	157	promotion of gun control policy.
158	158	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective Novem ber 1, 2023.
