79	79	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
80	80	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 60 O.S. 2021, Section 121, is
81	81	amended to read as follows:
82	82	Section 121. No alien or any person who is not a foreign
83	83	citizen of the United States shall acquire title to or own land in
84	84	the State of Oklahoma this state either directly or indirectly
85	85	through a business entity or trust, except as hereinafter provided,
86	86	but he or she shall have and enjoy in the State of Oklahoma this
87	87	state such rights as to perso nal property as are, or shall be
88	88	accorded a citizen of the United States under the laws of the nation
89	89	to which such alien foreign citizen belongs, or by the treaties of

141	141	such nation with the United States, except as the same may be
142	142	affected by the provisions of this act Section 121 et seq. of this
143	143	title or the Constitution of this state. Any person who knowingly
144	144	acquires title to land in violation of this section shall upon
145	145	conviction be guilty of a fe lony.
146	146	SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 60 O.S. 2021, Section 122, is
147	147	amended to read as follows:
148	148	Section 122. This article shall not apply to lands now owned in
149	149	this state by aliens foreign citizens so long as they are held by
150	150	the present owners, nor to any alien foreign citizen who is or shall
151	151	take up bona fide residence in this state : and; provided, that any
152	152	alien foreign citizen who is or shall beco me a bona fide resident of
153	153	the State of Oklahoma shall have the right to acquire and ho ld lands
154	154	in this state upon the sa me terms as citizens of the State of
155	155	Oklahoma during the continuance of such bona fide residen ce of such
156	156	alien foreign citizen in this state: Provided, that if any such
157	157	resident alien foreign citizen shall cease to be a bo na fide
158	158	inhabitant of this stat e, such alien foreign citizen shall have five
159	159	(5) years one (1) year from the time he or she ceased to be such
160	160	bona fide resident in which to alienate such l ands.
161	161	SECTION 3. This act shall become effective Novem ber 1, 2023.
