7979 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
8080 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 63 O.S. 2021, Section 5025, is
8181 amended to read as follows:
8282 Section 5025. A. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority may
8383 establish, with available funds, a reimbursement methodology that
8484 will enhance the reimburseme nt for services provided to Medicaid
8585 beneficiaries in emergency hospit als in rural areas of the state.
8686 B. The Authority shall establish, with available funds, a
8787 reimbursement methodology that will enhance the reimbursement for
8888 maternity care provided to Medicaid beneficiary areas of the state
8989 with low or no access to maternity care. The Authority shall seek

141141 any federal approval necessary to establish the enhanced
142142 reimbursement methodology. The enha nced reimbursement methodology
143143 shall take effect upon federal approval and shall terminate three
144144 (3) years after the date it takes effect.
145145 SECTION 2. This act shall become effectiv e July 1, 2023.
146146 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
147147 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
148148 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
149149 be in full force from and afte r its passage and approval.
