55 | 48 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: | |
56 | 49 | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1000.2 , as | |
57 | 50 | amended by Section 5, Chapter 116, O.S.L. 2020, is amended to read | |
58 | 51 | as follows: | |
59 | 52 | Section 1000.2. A. The Construction Industries Board is hereby | |
60 | 53 | re-created to continue until July 1, 2023 2026, in accordance with | |
61 | 54 | the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset La w. The Board shall regulate | |
62 | 55 | the plumbing, electrical and m echanical trades, the building and | |
63 | 56 | construction inspectors, and the roofing contractors through the | |
64 | 57 | powers and duties set fort h in the Construction Industries Board Act | |

59 | + | trades, or as otherwise p rovided by law. | |

94 | 86 | B. 1. Beginning July 1, 2013, the Board shall be composed of | |
95 | 87 | seven (7) members appointed by the Governor wit h the advice and | |
96 | 88 | consent of the Senate, as follows: | |
97 | 89 | a. two members shall have at least ten (10) years’ | |
98 | 90 | experience in the plumbing trade, of which one shall | |
99 | 91 | be a plumbing contractor and one shall be a journeyman | |
100 | 92 | plumber, | |
101 | 93 | b. two members shall have at least t en (10) years’ | |
102 | 94 | experience in the electrical trade, of which one shall | |
103 | 95 | be an electrical contractor and one shall be a | |
104 | 96 | journeyman electrician, | |
105 | 97 | c. two members shall have at least ten (10) years ’ | |
106 | 98 | experience in the mechanical trade, of which one shall | |
107 | 99 | be a mechanical contractor and one shall be a | |
108 | 100 | mechanical journeyman, and | |
109 | 101 | d. one member shall have at least ten (10) years’ | |
110 | 102 | experience as a building and construction inspector. | |
111 | 103 | 2. Members shall be appointed for staggered terms of four (4) | |
112 | 104 | years, as designated by th e Governor. Members shall continue in | |
113 | 105 | office until a successor is appo inted by the Governor. The Governor | |
114 | 106 | shall fill all vacanci es and unexpired terms in the same manner as | |
