5548 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5649 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1000.2 , as
5750 amended by Section 5, Chapter 116, O.S.L. 2020, is amended to read
5851 as follows:
5952 Section 1000.2. A. The Construction Industries Board is hereby
6053 re-created to continue until July 1, 2023 2026, in accordance with
6154 the provisions of the Oklahoma Sunset La w. The Board shall regulate
6255 the plumbing, electrical and m echanical trades, the building and
6356 construction inspectors, and the roofing contractors through the
6457 powers and duties set fort h in the Construction Industries Board Act
58+and in the respective licens ing or registration acts for such
59+trades, or as otherwise p rovided by law.

9486 B. 1. Beginning July 1, 2013, the Board shall be composed of
9587 seven (7) members appointed by the Governor wit h the advice and
9688 consent of the Senate, as follows:
9789 a. two members shall have at least ten (10) years’
9890 experience in the plumbing trade, of which one shall
9991 be a plumbing contractor and one shall be a journeyman
10092 plumber,
10193 b. two members shall have at least t en (10) years’
10294 experience in the electrical trade, of which one shall
10395 be an electrical contractor and one shall be a
10496 journeyman electrician,
10597 c. two members shall have at least ten (10) years ’
10698 experience in the mechanical trade, of which one shall
10799 be a mechanical contractor and one shall be a
108100 mechanical journeyman, and
109101 d. one member shall have at least ten (10) years’
110102 experience as a building and construction inspector.
111103 2. Members shall be appointed for staggered terms of four (4)
112104 years, as designated by th e Governor. Members shall continue in
113105 office until a successor is appo inted by the Governor. The Governor
114106 shall fill all vacanci es and unexpired terms in the same manner as
107+the original appointment of the member whose position is to be
108+filled. A member may be removed by the Governor at any time.
109+SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.

142-the original appointment of the member whose position is to be

144-SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
145136 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
146137 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
147138 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
148139 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
