SENATE BILL 683 By: Young
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to rental assistance; creating the
Oklahoma Rental Assistance Grant Program; providing
for certain appropriations; directing rule
promulgation; stating purpose of program; providing
for codification; and provid ing an effective date .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2901.5 of Title 74, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
There is hereby created the Oklahoma Rental Assistance Grant
Program to be administered by the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency.
The grant program shall be funded by legislative appropriations ,
federal funds, and private donations. The Executive Director of the
Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency shall be authorized to promulgate
rules to administer the program. The purpose of the fund is to
assist people of this state who suffered evictions due to COVID-19
with rental subsidies.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective Nove mber 1, 2023.
