65	65	An Act relating to daylight saving time; establ ishing
66	66	standard time in this state; speci fying effect on
67	67	certain actions; declaring that Oklahoma shall not
68	68	observe the federal daylight saving time; authorizing
69	69	future action; providing for codification; and

75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OK LAHOMA:
76	76	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
77	77	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 90.2 6 of Title 25, unless there
78	78	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
79	79	A. The standard time in Oklahoma shall be known as Central
80	80	Standard Time (CST).
81	81	B. This section shall not be construed to affect the standard
82	82	time established by United States law governing the movements of
83	83	common carriers engaged in interstate commerce or t he time for
84	84	performance of an act by a n officer or department of the United
85	85	States, as established by a statute, lawful order, rule , or
86	86	regulation of the United States or an agency hereof.

138	138	C. As authorized by the Uniform Time Act of 1966, as amended,
139	139	and notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary by
140	140	the United States government relating to adoption of daylight saving
141	141	time by all the states, this state elects to not observe daylight
142	142	saving time and elects to continue in force the terms of subsection
143	143	A of this section relating to the year-round standard time in
144	144	Oklahoma.
145	145	D. The adopting of daylight saving time as provided for in this
146	146	section may be changed by future legislative action.
147	147	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 202 3.
