6565 An Act relating to daylight saving time; establ ishing

6767 certain actions; declaring that Oklahoma shall not

7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OK LAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 90.2 6 of Title 25, unless there
7878 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
7979 A. The standard time in Oklahoma shall be known as Central
8080 Standard Time (CST).
8181 B. This section shall not be construed to affect the standard
8282 time established by United States law governing the movements of
8383 common carriers engaged in interstate commerce or t he time for
8484 performance of an act by a n officer or department of the United
8585 States, as established by a statute, lawful order, rule , or
8686 regulation of the United States or an agency hereof.

138138 C. As authorized by the Uniform Time Act of 1966, as amended,
139139 and notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary by
140140 the United States government relating to adoption of daylight saving
141141 time by all the states, this state elects to not observe daylight
142142 saving time and elects to continue in force the terms of subsection
143143 A of this section relating to the year-round standard time in
144144 Oklahoma.
145145 D. The adopting of daylight saving time as provided for in this
146146 section may be changed by future legislative action.
147147 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 202 3.
