AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to the Teachers' Retirement System of
Oklahoma; providing for recurring benefits increase;
and providing for codification.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 17-116.23 of Title 70, unless
there is created a duplication in numb ering, reads as follows:
Beginning July 1, immediately following the effective date of
this act, and every third year thereafter on July 1, members of the
Teachers' Retirement System of Oklahoma who are retired and have
received benefits for at least one (1) year prior to July 1 of that
year shall receive a two percent (2%) benefits increase.
