65	65	An Act relating to the Oklahoma Firefighters Pension
66	66	and Retirement System; providing for cost-of-living

73	73	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
74	74	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
75	75	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 49-143.8 of Title 11, unless
76	76	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
77	77	A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, and
78	78	persons receiving benefits pursuant to Section 49-101 of Title 11 of
79	79	the Oklahoma Statutes, any member of the Oklahoma Firefighters
80	80	Pension and Retirement System receiving benefits from the System as
81	81	of June 30, 2023, who continues to receive benefits on or after the
82	82	effective date of this act, shall receive an eight percent (8%)
83	83	increase in benefits to be paid.
84	84	B. For a member of the System prior to January 1, 1981, who
85	85	shall have his or her pension or the pension of his or her surviving
86	86	spouse increased or decreased by one -half (1/2) of all increases or
