7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7777 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-502.5 of Title 63, unless
7878 there is created a duplication in number ing, reads as follows:
7979 A. This act shall be known and may be cited as the “Oklahoma
8080 Employee Protection Plan ”.
8181 B. As used in this section, “covered entity” means:
8282 1. A state agency;
8383 2. A political subdivision ;
8484 3. Any entity that accepts funds from the state, the federal
8585 government, or a political subdivision from whatever source derived;

137137 4. Any entity that employs individuals who are required by the
138138 state or a political subdivision to have licensure or certification
139139 issued by a state agency;
140140 5. Any hospital licensed by the State Department of Healt h; or
141141 6. Any private entity.
142142 C. A covered entity or agent of a covered entity shall not
143143 discriminate against, punish, demote, or isolate any employee of the
144144 covered entity based on whether the employee has received a vaccine
145145 used to prevent infection by any current or future variant of SARS-
146146 CoV-2 or the development of COVID-19.
147147 D. A covered entity or agent of a covered entity shall not be
148148 liable in a civil action claiming an injury from exposure or
149149 potential exposure to any current or future variant of SARS-CoV-2 or
150150 from the development of COVID-19 if the act or omission alleged to
151151 violate a duty of care of the covered entity or agent of the covered
152152 entity was in compliance with this section.
153153 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
154154 of the public peace, health or s afety, an emergency is hereby
155155 declared to exist, b y reason whereof this act shall take effect and
156156 be in full force from and after its pa ssage and approval.
