43	50		Lauria and Ashley's Law; amending 21 O.S. 2021,
44	51		Section 13.1, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 151,
45	52		O.S.L. 2024 (21 O.S. Supp. 2024, Section 13.1), which
46	53		relates to required minimum prison sentences; adding
47	54		criminal offense to list of crimes; providing for
48	55		noncodification; and providing an effective date.

54	61		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
55	62		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section o f law not to be
56	63		codified in the Oklahoma Statutes reads as follows:
57	64		This act shall be known and may be cited as "Lauria and Ashley's
58	65		Law".
59	66		SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 21 O.S. 2021, Section 13.1, as
60	67		amended by Section 1, Chapter 151, O.S.L. 2024 (21 O.S. Supp. 2024,
61	68		Section 13.1), is amended to read as follows:
62		-	Section 13.1 Persons convicted of:
63		-	1. First degree murder as defined in Section 701.7 of this

154	163		20. Aggravated trafficking a s provided for in subsection C of
155	164		Section 2-415 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes;
156	165		21. Aggravated assault and battery upon any person defending
157	166		another person from assault and battery; or
158	167		22. Human trafficking as provided for in Section 748 of this
159	168		title; or
160		-	23. Accessory to murder in the first degree or accessory to
161		-	murder in the second degree as provided for in Section 175 of this
162		-	title,
163		-	shall be required to serve not less than eighty -five percent (85%)
164		-	of any sentence of imprisonment imposed by the judicial system prior

	196	+	23. Accessory to murde r in the first degree or accessory to
	197	+	murder in the second degree as provided for in Section 175 of this
	198	+	title,
	199	+	shall be required to serve not less than eighty -five percent (85%)
	200	+	of any sentence of imprisonment imposed by the judicial system prior
191	201		to becoming eligible for consideration for parole. Persons
192	202		convicted of these offenses shall not be eligible for earned credits
193	203		or any other type of credits which have the effect of reducing the
194	204		length of the sentence to less than eighty -five percent (85%) of the
195	205		sentence imposed.
196	206		SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
