7777 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7878 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
7979 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 24 -106.2 of Title 70, unless
8080 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follo ws:
8181 A. Beginning with the 20 25-2026 school year, every public
8282 school shall display in a conspicuous place in each classroom of the
8383 school a durable poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments that
8484 meets the requirements of subsection B of this section.
8585 B. A poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments required by
8686 subsection A of this section shall:
8787 1. Include the text of the Ten Commandments as provided by
8888 subsection C of this section in a size and typeface that is legible

140140 to a person with average vis ion from anywhere in the classroom in
141141 which the poster or framed copy is displayed; and
142142 2. Be at least sixteen (16) inches wide and twenty (20) inches
143143 tall.
144144 C. The text of the poster or framed copy of the Ten
145145 Commandments shall read as follows:
146146 "The Ten Commandments
147147 I AM the LORD thy God.
148148 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
149149 Thou shalt not make to thyself any graven images.
150150 Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain.
151151 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
152152 Honor thy father and thy mot her, that thy days may be long upon the
153153 land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
154154 Thou shalt not kill.
155155 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
156156 Thou shalt not steal.
157157 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
158158 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor 's house.
159159 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor 's wife, nor his manservant, nor
160160 his maidservant, nor his cattle, nor anything that is thy
161161 neighbor's."
162162 D. A public school in which each classroom does not include a
163163 poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments shall:

215215 1. Accept any offer of a privately donated poster or framed
216216 copy of the Ten Commandments provided that the poster or copy:
217217 a. meets the requirements of subsection B of this
218218 section, and
219219 b. does not contain any additional content; and
220220 2. Display the poster or framed copy as required by subsection
221221 A of this section.
222222 E. If a public scho ol has a poster or framed copy of the Ten
223223 Commandments in each classroom that does not meet the requirements
224224 of subsection B of this section, the school may replace the m with
225225 privately donated posters or copies that meet the requirements for
226226 display.
227227 F. A public school shall offer a poster or framed copy of the
228228 Ten Commandments required by subsection A of this section in the
229229 school's possession that is not needed for display in a classroom as
230230 a donation to another public school.
231231 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 202 5.
232232 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
233233 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
234234 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
235235 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
