77	77	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
78	78	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
79	79	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 24 -106.2 of Title 70, unless
80	80	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follo ws:
81	81	A. Beginning with the 20 25-2026 school year, every public
82	82	school shall display in a conspicuous place in each classroom of the
83	83	school a durable poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments that
84	84	meets the requirements of subsection B of this section.
85	85	B. A poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments required by
86	86	subsection A of this section shall:
87	87	1. Include the text of the Ten Commandments as provided by
88	88	subsection C of this section in a size and typeface that is legible

142	142	2. Be at least sixteen (16) inches wide and twenty (20) inches

144	144	C. The text of the poster or framed copy of the Ten
145	145	Commandments shall read as follows:
146	146	"The Ten Commandments
147	147	I AM the LORD thy God.
148	148	Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
149	149	Thou shalt not make to thyself any graven images.
150	150	Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain.
151	151	Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
152	152	Honor thy father and thy mot her, that thy days may be long upon the
153	153	land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
154	154	Thou shalt not kill.
155	155	Thou shalt not commit adultery.
156	156	Thou shalt not steal.
157	157	Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
158	158	Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor 's house.
159	159	Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor 's wife, nor his manservant, nor
160	160	his maidservant, nor his cattle, nor anything that is thy
161	161	neighbor's."
162	162	D. A public school in which each classroom does not include a
163	163	poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments shall:

215	215	1. Accept any offer of a privately donated poster or framed
216	216	copy of the Ten Commandments provided that the poster or copy:
217	217	a. meets the requirements of subsection B of this
218	218	section, and
219	219	b. does not contain any additional content; and
220	220	2. Display the poster or framed copy as required by subsection
221	221	A of this section.
222	222	E. If a public scho ol has a poster or framed copy of the Ten
223	223	Commandments in each classroom that does not meet the requirements
224	224	of subsection B of this section, the school may replace the m with
225	225	privately donated posters or copies that meet the requirements for
226	226	display.
227	227	F. A public school shall offer a poster or framed copy of the
228	228	Ten Commandments required by subsection A of this section in the
229	229	school's possession that is not needed for display in a classroom as
230	230	a donation to another public school.
231	231	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 202 5.
232	232	SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
233	233	of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
234	234	declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
235	235	be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
