| 52 | 52 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: | |
| 53 | 53 | SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | |
| 54 | 54 | in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1210.205 of Title 70, unless | |
| 55 | 55 | there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: | |
| 56 | 56 | A. A school district may employ or accept one or more volunteer | |
| 57 | 57 | chaplains to provide support, services, and programs for stude nts as | |
| 58 | 58 | assigned by the governing body of the school. A chaplain employed | |
| 59 | 59 | or volunteering under this act is not required to be certified by | |
| 60 | 60 | the State Department of Education. | |
| 61 | 61 | B. A school district may not employ or accept as a volunteer a | |
| 62 | 62 | chaplain who has been convicted of or is a defendant for an offense | |
| 63 | 63 | that requires the defendant to register as a sex offender. | |
