3939 An Act relating to agriculture; directing the
4040 Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry
4141 to not require livestock to have ce rtain tags;
4242 directing the Department to plan compacts with other
4343 states to allow the sale of livestock without certain
4444 tags; providing for ratif ication compacts; providing
4545 for codification; and providing an effective date .

5151 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5252 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5353 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2101 of Title 2, unless there is
5454 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5555 A. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry
5656 shall not require livestock to be tagged with radio frequency
5757 identification (RFID) devices for animal disease traceability as
5858 required by the United States Department of Agriculture pursuant to
5959 9 C.F.R., Section  86.4.
6060 B. The Department shall contact other livestock-regulating
6161 state agencies in beef -producing states to plan compacts between
6262 those states and Oklahoma which woul d allow the sale of livestock

8989 be provided to the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives
9090 and the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate, who then
9191 shall take appropriate actions to ratify the compacts.
9292 SECTION 2. This act shall become effec tive November 1, 2025.
