40	40	An Act relating to elections; creating the Task Force

45	45	provide space; clarifying meet ings are subject to the
46	46	Open Meetings Act; directing task force to publish
47	47	report by certain date; providing fo r codification;

54	54	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
55	55	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
56	56	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 23 -101 of Title 26, unless there
57	57	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
58	58	A. There is hereby created to continue until December 31, 2027,
59	59	the Task Force on Young Voter Engagement. The task force will
60	60	examine the issues related to voter turnout for voters under the age
61	61	of thirty (30) years and shall provide a report with recommendations
62	62	to the Legislature and the Governor 's Office.
63	63	B. The task force will have nine (9) members as follows:

90	90	1. Three persons between eighteen (18) and twenty -four (24)
91	91	years of age appointed by the Governor;
92	92	2. Three persons between eighteen (18) and twenty -four (24)
93	93	years of age appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of
94	94	Representatives; and
95	95	3. Three persons between eighteen (18) and twenty -four (24)
96	96	years of age appointed by t he President Pro Tempore of the State
97	97	Senate.
98	98	C. The task force shall meet on the first Monday of each month
99	99	until December 31, 2027.
100	100	D. The Oklahoma House of Representatives shall provide space
101	101	for the task force to meet.
102	102	E. Meetings of the task force shall be subject to the Oklahoma
103	103	Open Meetings Act outlined in Title 25.
104	104	F. The task force shall publish its findings and
105	105	recommendations by December 1, 2027, including recommendations for
106	106	any resulting legislation.
107	107	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
