4040 An Act relating to elections; creating the Task Force

5454 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5555 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5656 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 23 -101 of Title 26, unless there
5757 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5858 A. There is hereby created to continue until December 31, 2027,
5959 the Task Force on Young Voter Engagement. The task force will
6060 examine the issues related to voter turnout for voters under the age
6161 of thirty (30) years and shall provide a report with recommendations
6262 to the Legislature and the Governor 's Office.
6363 B. The task force will have nine (9) members as follows:

9090 1. Three persons between eighteen (18) and twenty -four (24)
9191 years of age appointed by the Governor;
9292 2. Three persons between eighteen (18) and twenty -four (24)
9393 years of age appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of
9494 Representatives; and
9595 3. Three persons between eighteen (18) and twenty -four (24)
9696 years of age appointed by t he President Pro Tempore of the State
9797 Senate.
9898 C. The task force shall meet on the first Monday of each month
9999 until December 31, 2027.
100100 D. The Oklahoma House of Representatives shall provide space
101101 for the task force to meet.
102102 E. Meetings of the task force shall be subject to the Oklahoma
103103 Open Meetings Act outlined in Title 25.
104104 F. The task force shall publish its findings and
105105 recommendations by December 1, 2027, including recommendations for
106106 any resulting legislation.
107107 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
