5252 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5353 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5454 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2 -100 of Title 43A, unless there
5555 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5656 A. The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
5757 is hereby abolished.
5858 B. All duties, powers, and responsibilities, including real and
5959 personal property, including books, records, and funds controlled by
6060 the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services shall
6161 be transferred to the State Department of Corrections.
6262 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.

8989 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
9090 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
9191 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
9292 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
