40	40	An Act relating to revenue and taxation; amending 68
41	41	O.S. 2021, Section 1503.1, which relates to
42	42	exemptions from coin -operated device licensing fees;
43	43	providing exemption for certain coin -operated devices
44	44	manufactured prior to specified date; and providing

50	50	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
51	51	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 68 O.S. 2021, Section 1503.1, is
52	52	amended to read as follows:
53	53	Section 1503.1. The following coin-operated vending devices
54	54	shall be exempt from the provisions of this article, Section 1501 et
55	55	seq. of this title:
56	56	1. All coin-operated vending devices owned by a nd located in a
57	57	public or private school, a church, or a governmental entity;
58	58	2. All coin-operated vending devices which dispense only
59	59	newspapers or periodicals;
60	60	3. All coin-operated vending devices which dispense only
61	61	postage stamps; and

88	88	4. All coin-operated vending devices installed on federal
89	89	military bases; and
90	90	5. All coin-operated devices manufactured prior to January 1,
91	91	2000, the price per play of which does not exceed fifty cent s
92	92	($0.50) if the device is designed to provide entertainment in the
93	93	form of a game or music and which does not involve gambling. As
94	94	used in this paragraph, a device involves "gambling" if the outcome
95	95	produced by the device is based on pure chance without any physical
96	96	or intellectual skills or efforts being required of the game player
97	97	or participant.
98	98	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
