5252 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5353 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5454 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1020.2 4 of Title 82, unless
5555 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5656 A. The Oklahoma Water Resources Board shall promulgate rules
5757 establishing standard spacing requirements per region for commercial
5858 water wells within th is state. The rules shall account for the
5959 unique geological and hydrological conditions of the nine (9)
6060 recognized regions of the state pursuant to the regions establ ished
6161 in Section 1085.1 of Title 82 of the Oklahoma Statutes .

8888 B. The Board shall develop and implement spacing regulations
8989 tailored to each region, that shall include, but may not be limited
9090 to:
9191 1. Groundwater availability and recharge rates;
9292 2. Impacts on existing wells and aquifers;
9393 3. Regional water demands, including agricultural, industrial,
9494 and municipal needs.
9595 C. The Board shall assign one staff member to each of the nine
9696 (9) regions to oversee compliance with well -spacing regulations.
9797 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
