| 56 | 56 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: |

| 57 | 57 | | SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified |

| 58 | 58 | | in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 70 of Title 57, unless there is |

| 59 | 59 | | created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: |

| 60 | 60 | | A. The sheriff of each county shall create for each county jail |

| 61 | 61 | | facility within the county an "Orange Alert" communication system to |
|---|
| 62 | 62 | | notify any resident within a radius of forty (40) miles when an |
|---|
| 63 | 63 | | inmate of the county jail has escaped. Information regarding ho w to |
|---|
| 64 | 64 | | register for an Orange Alert via the communication system shall be |
|---|
| 65 | 65 | | posted in a newspaper of record within the county in which the |
|---|
