4440 An Act relating to motor vehicles; amending 47 O.S.
4541 2021, Section 596.3, as amended by Section 23,
4642 Chapter 29, O.S.L. 2023 (47 O.S. Supp. 2024, Section
4743 596.3), which relates to dealer sales responsibility;
4844 disallowing certain activity at private off -premises
4945 sales events outside certain area; authorizing
5046 certain sales at certain events under certain
5147 conditions; detailing conditions for sales activity
5248 or display at certain events; authorizing certain
5349 activities at certain private events under certain

6056 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
6157 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 47 O.S. 2021, Section 596.3, as
6258 amended by Section 23, Chapter 29, O.S.L. 2023 (47 O.S. Supp. 2024,
6359 Section 596.3), is amended to read as follows:
6460 Section 596.3. A. All of the following conditions shall apply
6561 to the area of sales r esponsibility of a dealer included in a dealer
6662 agreement between a manufacturer and a dealer:
63+1. The manufacturer shall designate in the dealer agreement the
64+area of sales responsibility exclusively assigned to the dealer;

93-1. The manufacturer shall designate in the dealer agreement the
94-area of sales responsibility exclusively assigned to the dealer;

142-1. At sanctioned recreational vehicle shows where the sales
143-event is held off-premises and at least sixty-seven percent (67%) of
144-the recreational vehicle dealers that are located within a sixty -
145-mile radius of the location of the show p articipate in the show. A
146-sanctioned A sponsored recreational vehicle show may be held only

160150 location shall be eligible to participate in the
161151 sanctioned recreational vehicle show a dealer
162152 participating in a sponsore d off-premises sales show
163153 shall not be denied a permit on the grounds that the
164154 promotion is to be held within the relevant market
165155 area of another dealer of the same -line make,
156+d. new recreational vehicle dealers shall obtain written
157+approval from the manufacturer or distributor to
158+participate in the sanctioned sponsored recreational
159+vehicle show, and
160+e. the sanctioned sponsored recreational vehicle show

241-d. each dealer may participate in no more than eight

263252 personnel shall not be permitted to participate at an off -premises
253+display event. A permit for the off -premises display event shall
254+not be required.
255+E. A dealer agreemen t shall include a designated principal of
256+the dealer. A dealer agreement may identi fy a family member as the
257+successor of the principal or include a succession plan of the
258+dealer. A dealer may at any time change a designation or succession
259+plan made in the dealer agreement by providing written notice to the
260+manufacturer.
261+SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
