41	41	amending 34 O.S. 2021, Section 25, which relates to
42	42	special elections; modifying powers of Gov ernor with
43	43	respect to special election dates; and providing an

52	52	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
53	53	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 34 O.S. 2021, Section 25, is
54	54	amended to read as follows:
55	55	Section 25. Whenever any measure shall be initiated by the
56	56	people in the manner p rovided by law, or whenever the referendum
57	57	shall be demanded against any measure passed by the Legislature,
58	58	same shall be submitted to the people for their approval or
59	59	rejection at the next regular general election; provided, the
60	60	Governor shall have power, in his discretion, to call a special
61	61	election to vote upon such questions, or to designate the mandatory
62	62	primary election as a special election for such purpose the official
63	63	ballot title and measure is transmitted from the Secretary of State
