6156 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
6257 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
6358 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 26 of Title 20, unless there is
6459 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
6560 A. No member of the Judicial Nominating Commission who is
6661 related to an applicant for any pos ition for which the Commission is
6762 responsible to submit nominations to an appointing authority
6863 pursuant to Section 3 of Article VII -B of the Constitution of t he

96-State of Oklahoma shall participate in the decision -making process
97-with respect to such applicant if the Commission member is related
9892 to the applicant within the third degree of consanguinity or
9993 affinity. If a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission
10094 participates in the decision -making process with respect to an
10195 applicant in contravention of th e requirement of this subsection,
10296 the member shall be immediately removed from the Commission and
10397 shall be permanently forbidden from being appointed to the
10498 Commission.
10599 B. No later than ten (10) days after receiving the final list
106100 of applications for an o pen position which is set to come before the
107101 Judicial Nominating Commission, a member of the Judicial Nominating
108102 Commission shall make full disclosure of the date and amount of any
109103 contribution made by such member to the judicial campaign of any
110104 person making application to the Commission for their possible
111105 nomination to an appointing authority pursuant to the provisions of
112106 Section 3 of Article VII -B of the Constitution of the State of
113107 Oklahoma. The Administrative Director of the Courts shall prescribe
114108 a form to be used for such purpose. The completed forms shall be
115109 posted in a conspicuous manner on a website maintained by or on
116110 behalf of the Judicial Nominating Commission and shall be accessible
117111 until the position for which nominations are to be submitted by the
118112 Commission has been filled.

154147 for membership on the Judicial Nominating Commission.
155148 SECTION 3. This act shall become effe ctive November 1, 2025.
