41	41	the Lung Cancer Screening Program; providing the
42	42	purpose; directing the State Departme nt of Health to
43	43	promulgate rules; providing for codification; and

50	50	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
51	51	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
52	52	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1 -580 of Title 63, unless there
53	53	is created a duplication i n numbering, reads as follows:
54	54	A. A Lung Cancer Screening Program shall be created within the
55	55	State Department of Health. The program may provide grants to
56	56	National Cancer Inst itute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Centers for the
57	57	purpose of expanding mobile lung cancer screening services. The
58	58	program may provide funding for assessment, referral, consultation,
59	59	and screening for lung cancer, including equipment for mobile lung
60	60	cancer screening.
61	61	B. The Department may contract with entities to carry out the
62	62	purposes and functions of the Lung Cancer Screening Program and

89	89	shall establish standards and criteria for entities to be eligible
90	90	to contract with the Department.
91	91	C. The State Board o f Health shall:
92	92	1. Promulgate rules necessary for the administration of the
93	93	Lung Cancer Screening Program; and
94	94	2. Establish evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of
95	95	the Lung Cancer Screening Program.
96	96	D. The Lung Cancer Screening Program shall f ocus on increasing
97	97	the lung cancer screening rate for individuals who qualify as "high-
98	98	risk" per the United State Preventative Services Task Force.
99	99	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
