4040 An Act relating to motor vehicles; amending Section
4141 1, Chapter 265, O.S.L. 2024 (47 O.S. Supp. 2024,
4242 Section 6-212.7), which relates to the Impaired

5050 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5151 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY Section 1, Chapter 265 , O.S.L.
5252 2024 (47 O.S. Supp. 2024, Section 6 -212.7), is amended to read as
5353 follows:
5454 Section 6-212.7. A. There is hereby created the Impaired
5555 Driving Prevention Advisory Committee. The Committee shall be
5656 comprised of:
5757 1. The Commissioner of Public Safet y, or a designee, who shall
5858 act as the Chair;
5959 2. The Chief of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, or a designee;
6060 3. A member appointed by the District Attorneys Council;
6161 4. A member appointed by the Administrative Office of the

109109 15. A member of the Oklahoma State Senate appointed by the
110110 President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate ;

138138 17. The Executive Director of the Oklahoma Department of
139139 Transportation, or a de signee;
140140 18. The Executive Director of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana
141141 Authority, or a designee; and
142142 19. The Executive Director of the State Board of Pharmacy, or a
143143 designee.
144144 B. The Department of Public Safety shall provide administrative
145145 support necessary for the Committee to accomplish the goals and
146146 objectives assigned by this section.
147147 C. The Committee shall meet at the direction of the chair, and
148148 shall meet not less than once a year, but not more than four times a
149149 year. A vice chair shall be elected b y the Committee from among its
150150 members. The vice chair shall act as chair of the Committee in the
151151 absence of the chair.
152152 D. The Committee is authorized to collect, analyze, and
153153 interpret relevant crash data on impaired driving and associated
154154 traffic crashes. In addition, the Committee is authorized to
155155 review, evaluate, and monitor the impaired driving system of this
156156 state and provide a network of communication and cooperation am ong
157157 the various stakeholders to coordinate and integrate efforts and
158158 resources to reduce the incidence and severity of impaired driving
159159 crashes.
160160 E. The Committee shall annually complete a statewide strategic
161161 plan to reduce the incidents of impaired drivin g and impaired

188188 driving crashes. The plan shall be submitted no later than December
189189 31 of each year to the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the
190190 Oklahoma State Senate, and the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of
191191 Representatives.
192192 F. Members of the Commit tee who are otherwise employed by a
193193 state agency or political subdivision shal l serve without additional
194194 compensation. Members of the Committee who are otherwise employed
195195 by a state agency or political subdivision shall be entitled to
196196 reimbursement for an y actual and necessary traveling expenses in
197197 accordance with the State Travel Reimbursement Act from the
198198 employing agency.
199199 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
