40	40	An Act relating to civil procedure; amending 12 O.S.
41	41	2021, Section 2702, which relates to testimony by
42	42	experts; requiring proponent make certain
43	43	demonstration to court; and providing an effective
44	44	date.

50	50	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
51	51	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 12 O.S. 2021, Section 2702,
52	52	is amended to read as follows:
53	53	Section 2702. If scientific, technical or other
54	54	specialized knowledge will assist the trier of fact to
55	55	understand the evidence or to determine a fact in issue, a
56	56	witness qualified as an expert by knowledge, skill,
57	57	experience, training , or education may testify in the form of
58	58	an opinion or otherwise, if the proponent demonstrates to the
59	59	court that it is more likely than not that :
60	60	1. The testimony is based upon sufficient facts or data;
61	61	2. The testimony is the product of reliable principles and
62	62	methods; and
