40	40	An Act relating to the Oklahoma Historical Society;
41	41	amending 53 O.S. 2021, Section 1.4a, which relates to
42	42	the Office of Tribal Relations ; providing format
43	43	material may be available on; authorizing the Office
44	44	to consult sources; directing the Office to deliver
45	45	material; and providing an effective date.

54	54	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
55	55	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 53 O.S. 2021, Section 1.4a, is
56	56	amended to read as follows:
57	57	Section 1.4a. A. There is hereby created within the Research
58	58	Division of the Oklahoma Historical Society the Office of Tribal
59	59	Relations. The Office of Tribal Relation s shall:
60	60	1. Gather, preserve, and maintain all records, documents, and
61	61	material related to negotiations and agreements between tribal
62	62	governments and the state and political subdivisions;
63	63	2. Maintain an archive of all compacts and agreements between
64	64	tribal governments and the state and political subdivisions; and

91	91	3. Organize the compacts, agreements and related documents and
92	92	material in a manner on paper or in electronic form that is
93	93	accessible to the public.
94	94	B. The Office of Tribal Relations is authori zed to consult
95	95	sources, including, but not limited to, state agencies and tribal
96	96	governments, in order to obtain information necessary to fulfill its
97	97	duties set forth in subsection A of this section.
98	98	C. The Office of Tribal Relations shall deliver an elec tronic,
99	99	updated copy of the material described in paragraph 3 of subsection
100	100	A of this section to each member of the Oklahoma Legislature by
101	101	December 1 of every even -numbered year. The Office shall deliver a
102	102	physical, updated copy of the material described in paragraph 3 of
103	103	subsection A of this section to each member of the Oklahoma
104	104	Legislature after each gubernatorial election.
105	105	D. The Oklahoma Historical Society shall provide suitable
106	106	office space for the Office of Tribal Relations.
107	107	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
