6969 A Concurrent Resolution relating to a pending
7070 application to create an ener gy corridor proposed to
7171 be located within the State of Oklahoma .

7777 WHEREAS, certain energy companies have declared their intention
7878 to create an eighteen-mile wide corridor spanning a large portion of
7979 the State of Oklahoma ; and
8080 WHEREAS, such a corridor is anticipated to be utilized for the
8181 placement of large electric transmission lines, win d turbines, and
8282 solar energy generation farms ; and
8383 WHEREAS, location of such assets and associated activities would
8484 have to be achieved through the use of condem nation to force
8585 landowners to allow the facilities to be located on their property;

8787 WHEREAS, it is contrary to the interest of the State of Oklahoma
8888 and the interests of private landowners to be forced to surrender

142142 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATI VES
143143 OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE SENATE
144144 CONCURRING THEREIN:
145145 THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the Oklahoma
146146 State Senate are committed to take all legislative action available
147147 to prevent the establishment of said eighteen -mile wide corridor or
148148 any other such corridor regardless of its width which would condemn
149149 and confiscate private property to locate high voltage electric
150150 transmission lines, wind turbines , or solar energy farms.
151151 THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the Oklahoma
152152 State Senate commit to taking such actions that may be required to
153153 prevent impairment to the beneficial use of such private property
154154 resulting from the facilities themselves, any associated easements
155155 for construction, operation or maintenance of such assets or that
156156 would otherwise interfere with the unrestricted exercise of private
157157 property rights by affected property owners.
