69	69	A Concurrent Resolution relating to a pending
70	70	application to create an ener gy corridor proposed to
71	71	be located within the State of Oklahoma .

77	77	WHEREAS, certain energy companies have declared their intention
78	78	to create an eighteen-mile wide corridor spanning a large portion of
79	79	the State of Oklahoma ; and
80	80	WHEREAS, such a corridor is anticipated to be utilized for the
81	81	placement of large electric transmission lines, win d turbines, and
82	82	solar energy generation farms ; and
83	83	WHEREAS, location of such assets and associated activities would
84	84	have to be achieved through the use of condem nation to force
85	85	landowners to allow the facilities to be located on their property;
86	86	and
87	87	WHEREAS, it is contrary to the interest of the State of Oklahoma
88	88	and the interests of private landowners to be forced to surrender

142	142	NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATI VES
143	143	OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE SENATE
144	144	CONCURRING THEREIN:
145	145	THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the Oklahoma
146	146	State Senate are committed to take all legislative action available
147	147	to prevent the establishment of said eighteen -mile wide corridor or
148	148	any other such corridor regardless of its width which would condemn
149	149	and confiscate private property to locate high voltage electric
150	150	transmission lines, wind turbines , or solar energy farms.
151	151	THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the Oklahoma
152	152	State Senate commit to taking such actions that may be required to
153	153	prevent impairment to the beneficial use of such private property
154	154	resulting from the facilities themselves, any associated easements
155	155	for construction, operation or maintenance of such assets or that
156	156	would otherwise interfere with the unrestricted exercise of private
157	157	property rights by affected property owners.
