46	49		A Concurrent Resolution proclaimin g Christ is King;
47	50		recognizing the spiritual heritage of Oklahoma; and

54	57		WHEREAS, the State of Oklahoma has a rich history rooted in
55	58		faith, resilience, and a commitment to values that uplift its
56	59		people; and
57	60		WHEREAS, the acknowledgment of spiritual heritage has long been
58	61		a cornerstone of the cultural identity of Oklahomans, reflecting the
59	62		beliefs and convictions of many of its citizens; and
60	63		WHEREAS, the phrase "Christ the King" represents a declaration
61	64		of faith for millions o f Oklahomans and Christians worldwide,
62	65		symbolizing the sovereignty of Jesus Christ as a source of hope,

90	94		WHEREAS, the Oklahoma State Legislature seeks to affirm the
91	95		freedom of its citizens to express their deeply held beliefs,
92	96		including freedom of speech without fear of punishment or
93	97		retribution, recognizing the importance of religious liberty as
94	98		enshrined in both the United States Constitution and the Oklahoma
95	99		Constitution; and
96	100		WHEREAS, this proclamation serves as an expressio n of gratitude
97	101		for the blessings bestowed upon the State of Oklahoma and as a
98	102		recognition of the enduring influence of Christian faith in the
99	103		lives of its people.
100	104		NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
101	105		OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE SENATE
102	106		CONCURRING THEREIN:
103	107		THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature hereby proclaims "Christ is
104	108		King", recognizing the spiritual significance of this declaration to
105	109		many of its citizens and honoring the role of faith in the history
106	110		and culture of Oklahoma.
107	111		THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature expresses that this
108	112		resolution is not intended to establish any religion or infringe
109	113		upon the rights of any individual, but rather to celebrate the
110	114		voluntary expression of belief that has shaped co mmunities across
111	115		the state.
112	116		THAT copies of this resolution be distributed to the Governor of
113	117		Oklahoma and the President Pro Tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate,
