57102 of Saigon, a pivotal moment in world history which marked the end of
58103 the Vietnam War and led to mass displacement of millions of

61105 WHEREAS, many Vietnames e families fled their homeland in search
62106 of freedom, safety, and opportunity, enduring perilous journeys and
63107 resettling in countries around the world, including the United

66109 WHEREAS, the State of Oklahoma became home to a vibrant
67110 Vietnamese American community that has enriched the state's
68111 cultural, economic, and social landscape over the past five decades;

71113 WHEREAS, the Vietnamese American community in Oklahoma,
72114 particularly centered in the Asian District of Oklahoma City and
73115 across the state, has demonstrated exceptional resilience, work
74116 ethic, and civic commitment; and

77118 contributions as entrepreneurs, educators, medical professionals,
