4141 A Joint Resolution directing the Secretary of State

5252 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE
5353 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
5454 SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for
5555 their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law,
5656 the following proposed amendment to the Constitution of the State of
5757 Oklahoma by adding a new Sectio n 36 to Article VI thereof, to read
5858 as follows:
5959 Section 36. A. The Legislature shall, by law, create an
6060 election recall process for statewide elected officials.
6161 B. The list of officials shall include:

9090 3. The State Auditor and Inspector;

9797 C. Election recalls shall require the same number of signatures
9898 required for an initiative petition.
9999 D. Election recalls shall be set by the Governor no later than

101101 signatures to the Secretary of State.
102102 E. The Legislature shall enact the election recall process no
103103 later than the end of the legislative s ession following the approval
104104 of this measure by vote of the people.
105105 SECTION 2. The Ballot Title for the proposed Constitutional
106106 amendment as set for th in SECTION 1 of this resolution shall be in

110110 THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITION IS AS FOLLOWS:
111111 This measure amends the Oklahoma Constitution by adding a new
112112 Section 36 to Article 6. The measure directs the Oklahoma
