41	41	A Joint Resolution directing the Secretary of State

43	43	rejection a proposed amendm ent to the Constitution of
44	44	the State of Oklahoma by adding a new Section 36 to
45	45	Article VI; providing ballot title; and directing

52	52	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE
53	53	1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
54	54	SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for
55	55	their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law,
56	56	the following proposed amendment to the Constitution of the State of
57	57	Oklahoma by adding a new Sectio n 36 to Article VI thereof, to read
58	58	as follows:
59	59	Section 36. A. The Legislature shall, by law, create an
60	60	election recall process for statewide elected officials.
61	61	B. The list of officials shall include:

91	91	4. The Attorney General;

93	93	6. The State Superintendent of Public Instruction;

96	96	9. The Corporation Commissioners.
97	97	C. Election recalls shall require the same number of signatures
98	98	required for an initiative petition.
99	99	D. Election recalls shall be set by the Governor no later than
100	100	the General Election following the submission of the required
101	101	signatures to the Secretary of State.
102	102	E. The Legislature shall enact the election recall process no
103	103	later than the end of the legislative s ession following the approval
104	104	of this measure by vote of the people.
105	105	SECTION 2. The Ballot Title for the proposed Constitutional
106	106	amendment as set for th in SECTION 1 of this resolution shall be in

110	110	THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITION IS AS FOLLOWS:
111	111	This measure amends the Oklahoma Constitution by adding a new
112	112	Section 36 to Article 6. The measure directs the Oklahoma

141	141	Governor, State Auditor and Inspector, Attorney General, State
142	142	Treasurer, State Superint endent of Public Instruction, Labor
143	143	Commissioner, Insurance Commissioner, and Corporation
144	144	Commissioners. Election recalls will require the same number of
145	145	signatures as initiative petitions submitted to the Secretary of
146	146	State. The Governor will set recalls by the following General
147	147	Election. The election recall process will be enacted by the end
148	148	of the following legislative session.
