47	47	dedication of firefighters across Oklahoma.

53	53	WHEREAS, National Firefighters' Day is observed annually on May
54	54	4 to honor the sacrifices and dedication of firefighters across the
55	55	nation, who risk their liv es to protect communities and save lives
56	56	from the devastation of fire and other emergencies ; and
57	57	WHEREAS, firefighters demonstrate unwavering courage,
58	58	selflessness, and resilience in the face of danger, exemplifying the
59	59	highest ideals of service to others and commitment to public safety ;

61	61	WHEREAS, Fire Departments in Oklahoma play a vital role in
62	62	safeguarding the residents, visitors, and properties of Oklahoma
63	63	responding to emergencies with professionalism, skill, and
64	64	compassion; and

92	92	WHEREAS, the men and women who serve as firefighters continually
93	93	demonstrate their readiness to confront a myriad of challenges,
94	94	including fires, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and
95	95	hazardous incidents, with dedication, expertise, and valor ; and
96	96	WHEREAS, the brave firefighters of Oklahoma embody the spirit of
97	97	service and sacrifice, standing as beacons of hope a nd guardians of
98	98	safety in times of need ; and
99	99	WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Oklahoma House of
100	100	Representatives recognize National Firefighters' Day an d the
101	101	important and courageous work of the firefighters of Oklahoma; and
102	102	NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
103	103	OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
104	104	THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives declares May 4, 2025,
105	105	as National Firefighters' Day .
106	106	THAT the Oklahoma House of Representatives further call upon all
107	107	Oklahomans to join in expressing gratitude and appreciation to the
108	108	firefighters of Oklahoma and firefighters nationwide for their
109	109	selfless dedication and unwaveri ng commitment to protecting lives
