7575 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
7676 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 82 O.S. 2021, Section 896.5, is
7777 amended to read as follows:
7878 Section 896.5. The Oklahoma Legislature finds that certain
7979 free-flowing streams and rivers of Oklahoma possess such unique
8080 natural scenic beauty, water, fish, wildlife , and outdoor
8181 recreational values of present and future benefit to the people of
8282 the state that it is the policy of the Legislature to preserve these
8383 areas for the benefit of the people of Oklahoma. For this purpose ,
8484 the following are hereby designated as scenic rivers:
8585 1. The Flint Creek in Delaware C ounty;
8686 2. The Illinois River in Adair, Delaware and Cherokee Counties
8787 above its confluence with the Barren Fork Creek;

139139 3. The Barren Fork Creek in Adair and Cherokee Counties from
140140 the present alignment of U.S. Highway 59 West west to its confluence
141141 with the Illinois River;
142142 4. The Upper Mountain Fork River above the 600-foot six-
143143 hundred-foot elevation level of Broken Bow Reservoir in McCurtain
144144 and LeFlore Le Flore Counties;
145145 5. Big Lee Creek in Sequoyah County, above the 420-foot four-
146146 hundred-twenty-foot MSL elevation; and
147147 6. Little Lee Creek in Adair and Sequoyah Counties ;
148148 7. The Glover River in McCurtain County; and
149149 8. The Kiamichi River in Le Flore, Choctaw, and Pushmataha
150150 Counties.
151151 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.
152152 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
153153 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
154154 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
155155 be in full force from and after its pass age and approval.
