68	68	certain waters; updating statutory language;

75	75	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
76	76	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 82 O.S. 2021, Section 896.5, is
77	77	amended to read as follows:
78	78	Section 896.5. The Oklahoma Legislature finds that certain
79	79	free-flowing streams and rivers of Oklahoma possess such unique
80	80	natural scenic beauty, water, fish, wildlife , and outdoor
81	81	recreational values of present and future benefit to the people of
82	82	the state that it is the policy of the Legislature to preserve these
83	83	areas for the benefit of the people of Oklahoma. For this purpose ,
84	84	the following are hereby designated as scenic rivers:
85	85	1. The Flint Creek in Delaware C ounty;
86	86	2. The Illinois River in Adair, Delaware and Cherokee Counties
87	87	above its confluence with the Barren Fork Creek;

139	139	3. The Barren Fork Creek in Adair and Cherokee Counties from
140	140	the present alignment of U.S. Highway 59 West west to its confluence
141	141	with the Illinois River;
142	142	4. The Upper Mountain Fork River above the 600-foot six-
143	143	hundred-foot elevation level of Broken Bow Reservoir in McCurtain
144	144	and LeFlore Le Flore Counties;
145	145	5. Big Lee Creek in Sequoyah County, above the 420-foot four-
146	146	hundred-twenty-foot MSL elevation; and
147	147	6. Little Lee Creek in Adair and Sequoyah Counties ;
148	148	7. The Glover River in McCurtain County; and
149	149	8. The Kiamichi River in Le Flore, Choctaw, and Pushmataha
150	150	Counties.
151	151	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.
152	152	SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
153	153	of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
154	154	declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
155	155	be in full force from and after its pass age and approval.
