5177 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5278 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5379 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1407 of Title 20, unless there
5480 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5581 A. As authorized pursuant to subsection (c) of Section 11 o f
5682 Article VII of the Oklahoma Constitution, a Justice of the Supreme
5783 Court, a Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals or of the Court of
5884 Civil Appeals, or a district or associate district court judge shall
5985 retire when he or she reaches seventy -five (75) years of age;
6086 provided, however, such appellate Justice or Judge or district or
6187 associate district court judge may complete the term during which he
6288 or she turns seventy -five (75) years of age if he or she chooses to

140+complete such term. Upon retiring, each s uch appellate Justice or
91141 Judge or district or associate district court judge shall receive
92142 retirement benefits as provided by law.
93143 B. An appellate Justice or Judge or district or associate
94144 district court judge who has reached seventy -five (75) years of ag e
95145 on or before the effective date of this act shall retire on the
96146 effective date of this act; provided, however, such appellate Justice
97147 or Judge or district or associate district court judge may complete
98148 the term during which this act was enacted if he or she chooses to
99149 complete such term. Upon retiring, each such appellate Justice or
100150 Judge or district or associate district court judge shall receive
101151 retirement benefits as provided by law.
102152 C. No person shall be eligible for election , retention, or
103153 appointment to any appellate or district court who has reached
104154 seventy-five (75) years of age prior to or on the date of election
105155 or appointment.
106156 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
