62 | 55 | SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | |
63 | 56 | in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-126 of Title 70, unless there | |

66 | 59 | 1. “Bell to bell” means the time between the first bell ringing | |

105 | 97 | B. 1. For the 2025-2026 school year, each school district | |
106 | 98 | board of education shall adopt a policy prohibiting students from | |
107 | 99 | using cell phones and personal electronic devices while on the | |
108 | 100 | campus of a public school dist rict from bell to bell. The policy | |
109 | 101 | shall include disciplinary procedures for violations. | |
110 | 102 | 2. For the 2026-2027 school year and each school year | |
111 | 103 | thereafter, each school district board of education may adopt a | |
112 | 104 | policy prohibiting students from using cell pho nes and personal | |
113 | 105 | electronic devices while on the campus of a public school district | |
114 | 106 | from bell to bell. | |
115 | 107 | C. The policy adopted pursuant to subsection B of this section | |
116 | 108 | may provide for exceptions including, but not limited to: | |
117 | 109 | 1. Emergency use of cell phone s or personal electronic devices | |
118 | 110 | by students during the school day; and | |
