77	77	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STA TE OF OKLAHOMA:
78	78	SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2021, Section 7-117, is
79	79	amended to read as follows:
80	80	Section 7-117. A. Persons who have been determined to be
81	81	eligible to vote shall sign, in the presence of the clerk, the
82	82	proper precinct registry, and shall sign an oath stating, “Under
83	83	penalty of perjury in the State of Oklahoma, I do attest that the
84	84	address listed is my current physical address of residence ”. The
85	85	clerk shall then issue proper ballots to the person. The voter ’s
86	86	signature on the precinct registry shall be the best evidence of the
87	87	voter’s having voted at said the election. A voter who cannot
88	88	attest to the oath required by this subsection may be given a

140	140	provisional ballot on such day and for such election only as
141	141	authorized by Section 7-116.1 of this title. The person shall be
142	142	required to update voter registration and will no longer be allowed
143	143	to vote until the voter registration is updated. The precinct
144	144	official shall provide a change of voter registration form to t he
145	145	person.
146	146	B. Precinct registries including data from electronic precinct
147	147	registries, shall be retained by the county election board for a
148	148	period of twenty-four (24) months following the election and shall
149	149	be subject to public inspection.
150	150	SECTION 2. This act shall become effective January 1, 2026.
