8383 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
8484 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
8585 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 6 -615 of Title 2, unless there
8686 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8787 A. There is hereby created the Feral Swine Er adication and
8888 Control Grant Program. The purpose of the grant program shall be to
8989 provide Oklahomans with education, equipment, and services
9090 associated with the eradication and control of feral swine in
9191 Oklahoma.

143143 B. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry
144144 shall, through collaboration with the Department of Wildlife
145145 Conservation and the Oklahoma Conservation Commission , implement a
146146 program or programs for the d istribution of resources to assist with
147147 the capture or deterrence of feral swine populations affecting
148148 Oklahoma landowners or land lessors.
149149 C. The total maximum grant fund shall be no more than Five
150150 Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00). The funds shall be derived
151151 from legislative appropriations and other public and private sources
152152 of monies including other grants and matching funds received by this
153153 state from federal sources . The grants awarded through the Feral
154154 Swine Eradication and Control Grant Program shall only be available
155155 for the equipment, education , and services provide d to Oklahomans
156156 for the eradication of feral swine .
157157 D. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry,
158158 or any employee or agent of the Department shall not be liable for
159159 damages in any civil suit or subject to criminal prosecution for any
160160 injury resulting from the program, unless the injury or death is a
161161 direct result of the gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional
162162 misconduct of the Department or any employee or agent of the
163163 Department.
164164 E. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, an d Forestry
165165 shall promulgate the rules necessary for the implementation of this
166166 program along with any educational material necessary for the proper

219219 through this program as not to violate the provisions of subsection
220220 D of this section. The Department may allow exemptions for
221221 landowners and land lessors participating in this program from the
222222 permits required to control nuisance and invasive species set for th
223223 in Title 29 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
224224 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
