67	67	rejection; updating statutory language; requiring
68	68	opportunity to cure certain defective application or
69	69	affidavit; modifying certain notice requirement;
70	70	requiring Secretary of the State Election Board to
71	71	promulgate certain rules and procedures; repealing 26
72	72	O.S. 2021, Section 14-115.7, which relates to
73	73	applicable procedure for properly executing an
74	74	absentee ballot affidavit; providing for
75	75	codification; and providing an effective date .

79	79	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
80	80	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
81	81	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 14 -115.8 of Title 26, unless
82	82	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
83	83	A. A voter who requests an absentee ballot pursuant to Section
84	84	14-105 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes may, in lieu of having
85	85	his or her signature notarized by a notary public as required by
86	86	Section 14-108 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes, sign th e
87	87	absentee ballot affidavit and attach a photocopy of a form of
88	88	identification described in subsection A of Section 7 -114 of Title
89	89	26 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

141	141	B. A voter who requests an absentee ballot described pursuant
142	142	to Section 14-110.1 or Section 14-114 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma
143	143	Statutes may, in lieu of having his or her si gnature witnessed by
144	144	two witnesses, sign the absentee ballot affidavit and include a
145	145	photocopy of a form of identification described in subsection A of
146	146	Section 7-114 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
147	147	SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2021, Section 14 -133, is
148	148	amended to read as follows:
149	149	Section 14-133. A. In the event a voter ’s application or
150	150	affidavit is rejected for any reason, the secretary of the cou nty
151	151	election board shall immediately notify said the voter in writing by
152	152	mail or electronically of the rejection and the reason therefor for
153	153	the rejection, pursuant to the rules promulgated by the Secretary of
154	154	the State Election Board .
155	155	B. A voter receivin g notice as described in subsection A of
156	156	this section shall be given the opportunity to cure the defective
157	157	application or affidavit pursuant to rules and procedures
158	158	promulgated by the Secretary of the State Election Board.
159	159	SECTION 3. REPEALER 26 O.S. 2021, Section 14 -115.7, is
160	160	hereby repealed.
161	161	SECTION 4. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
