6363 An Act relating to absentee ballots; establishing
6464 alternative procedures for execution of certain
6565 absentee ballot affidavits; amending 26 O. S. 2021,

7474 absentee ballot affidavit; providing for
7575 codification; and providing an effective date .

7979 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
8080 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
8181 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 14 -115.8 of Title 26, unless
8282 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8383 A. A voter who requests an absentee ballot pursuant to Section
8484 14-105 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes may, in lieu of having
8585 his or her signature notarized by a notary public as required by
8686 Section 14-108 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes, sign th e
8787 absentee ballot affidavit and attach a photocopy of a form of
8888 identification described in subsection A of Section 7 -114 of Title
8989 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

141141 B. A voter who requests an absentee ballot described pursuant
142142 to Section 14-110.1 or Section 14-114 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma
143143 Statutes may, in lieu of having his or her si gnature witnessed by
144144 two witnesses, sign the absentee ballot affidavit and include a
145145 photocopy of a form of identification described in subsection A of
146146 Section 7-114 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
147147 SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2021, Section 14 -133, is
148148 amended to read as follows:
149149 Section 14-133. A. In the event a voter ’s application or
150150 affidavit is rejected for any reason, the secretary of the cou nty
151151 election board shall immediately notify said the voter in writing by
152152 mail or electronically of the rejection and the reason therefor for
153153 the rejection, pursuant to the rules promulgated by the Secretary of
154154 the State Election Board .
155155 B. A voter receivin g notice as described in subsection A of
156156 this section shall be given the opportunity to cure the defective
157157 application or affidavit pursuant to rules and procedures
158158 promulgated by the Secretary of the State Election Board.
159159 SECTION 3. REPEALER 26 O.S. 2021, Section 14 -115.7, is
160160 hereby repealed.
161161 SECTION 4. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
