49	77		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
50	78		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 19 O.S. 2021, Secti on 180.62, as
51	79		amended by Section 3, Chapter 394, O.S.L. 2024 (19 O.S. Supp. 2024,
52	80		Section 180.62), is amended to read as follows:
53	81		Section 180.62. A. The basic salaries of count y officers upon
54	82		which all salaries and future increases or decreases thereof shall
55	83		not be less than Nineteen Thousand Dollars ($19,000.00) per annum
56	84		nor shall they exceed Forty-nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
57	85		($49,500.00) Seventy-four Thousand Five Hund red Dollars ($74,500.00)
58	86		per annum, provided the basic salary for the sheriff, which shall be
59	87		no less than other salaries for county officers controlled by this
60	88		section, shall not be less than Forty -four Thousand Dollars
61		-	($44,000.00) per annum nor shall it exc eed Seventy-four Thousand
62		-	Five Hundred Dollars ($74,500.00) per annum.

90	142		B. The board of county commissioners, or if the county has
91	143		elected to come under the County Budget Act, the county budget board
92	144		members of the county , shall set the salaries for al l elected county
93	145		officials within the limits allowed by law.
94	146		C. The annual salaries fixed by this act Section 180.58 et seq.
95	147		of this title shall be paid either monthly or twice a month, by
96	148		order of the board of county commissioners, for each month or
97	149		fraction thereof the incumbent lawfully occupies and holds title to
98	150		such office.
99	151		SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025.
