51 | 77 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: |

52 | 78 | | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 11 O.S. 2021, Section 22 -123, is |

53 | 79 | | amended to read as follows: |

54 | 80 | | Section 22-123. A. As used in this act, “vagrant” means a |
---|
55 | 81 | | person who is in, remains in, or wanders about a public or private |
---|
56 | 82 | | place for any illegal purpose. |
---|
57 | 83 | | B. The A municipal governing body may provide by ordinance for |
---|
58 | 84 | | the arrest, fine, and imprisonment of vagrants. |
---|
59 | 85 | | C. The proprietor or manager of a business has the right to |
---|
60 | 86 | | contact law enforcement to remove a vagrant if the vagrant is within |
---|
61 | 87 | | twelve (12) feet of any doorway of the business, even if such |
---|
62 | 88 | | vagrant is on public property. |

97 | 147 | | which made the initial contact to law enforcement . The location for |

98 | 148 | | relocation shall not be within one -quarter (1/4) mile of a ny other |
---|
99 | 149 | | business. |

100 | 150 | | SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025. |
