5548 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
5649 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5750 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 52 of Title 74, unless there is
5851 created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
5952 A. For purposes of this section:
6053 1. “Biotechnology company of concern ” means an entity
6154 designated by the federal government to be under the control of a
6255 foreign adversary and that poses a risk to national se curity based
6356 on the company’s research of multiomic data collection; and
6457 2. “Multiomics” means a biological analysis method that
6558 combines data from multiple research areas, including, but not
59+limited to, genomics, tra nscriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics, and
60+metabolomics in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of
61+complex biological processes .

9688 B. Any state agency that receives federal or state funds shall
9789 not be authorized to use or procure any biotechnology equipment or
9890 service that originates from a company designated by the federal
9991 government to be a biotechnology company of concern nor shall any
10092 such state agency contract with an entity that uses or procures such
10193 biotechnology.
10294 SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon the enac tment of a
10395 federal law that prohibits entities that receive federal funds from
10496 using biotechnology that is from a company associated with a foreign
10597 adversary.
