56 | 49 | | SECTION 1. AMENDATORY Section 1, Chapter 265, O.S.L. |

60 | 53 | | Driving Prevention Advisory Committee. The Committee shall be |

157 | 148 | | B. The Department of Public Safety shall provide administrative |
---|
158 | 149 | | support necessary for the Committee to accomplish the goals and |
---|
159 | 150 | | objectives assigned by this section. |

160 | 151 | | C. The Committee shall meet at the direction of the chair, a nd |
---|
161 | 152 | | shall meet not less than once a year, but not more than four times a |
---|
162 | 153 | | year. A vice chair shall be elected by the Committee from among its |
---|
163 | 154 | | members. The vice chair shall act as chair of the Committee in the |
---|
164 | 155 | | absence of the chair. |
---|
165 | 156 | | D. The Committee is auth orized to collect, analyze, and |
---|
166 | 157 | | interpret relevant crash data on impaired driving and associated |
---|
167 | 158 | | traffic crashes. In addition, the Committee is authorized to |
---|
196 | 186 | | state and provide a network of communication and cooperation among |
---|
197 | 187 | | the various stakeholders to coordinate and integrate efforts and |
---|
198 | 188 | | resources to reduce the incidence and severity of impaired driving |
---|
199 | 189 | | crashes. |

200 | 190 | | E. The Committee shall annually complete a statewide strategic |
---|
201 | 191 | | plan to reduce the incidents of impaired driving and impaired |
---|
202 | 192 | | driving crashes. The plan shall be submitted no later than December |
---|
203 | 193 | | 31 of each year to the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the |
---|
204 | 194 | | Oklahoma State Senate, and the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of |
---|
205 | 195 | | Representatives. |
---|
206 | 196 | | F. Members of the Committee who are otherwise employed by a |
---|
207 | 197 | | state agency or political subdivision shall serve without additional |
---|
208 | 198 | | compensation. Members of the Committee who are otherwise employed |
---|
209 | 199 | | by a state agency or political subdivision shall be entitled to |
---|
210 | 200 | | reimbursement for any actual and necessary traveling expenses in |
---|
211 | 201 | | accordance with the State Travel Reimbursement Act from the |
---|
212 | 202 | | employing agency. |
---|
213 | 203 | | SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2025. |
