63	52		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
64	53		SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
65	54		codified in the Oklahoma Statute s reads as follows:
66	55		This act shall be known and may be cited as the “Food is
67	56		Medicine Act”.
	57	+	SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
	58	+	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5009.7 of Title 63, unless there
	59	+	is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
	60	+	A. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority shall seek a ny necessary
	61	+	federal approval to provide coverage for nutrition supports under
	62	+	the state Medicaid program for the purpose of implementing Food is
	63	+	Medicine programs as provided by this section .

100		-	the state Medicaid program for the purpose of implementing Food is
101		-	Medicine programs as provided by this section .
102	90		B. Food is Medicine programs shall be designed to improve
103	91		health outcomes for Medicaid members with nutrition -related chronic
104	92		diseases through nutrition services and to reduce the need for
105	93		medical care.
106	94		C. Nutrition services covered under the state Medicaid program
107	95		may include, but are not limited to:
108	96		1. Case management;
109	97		2. Nutrition counseling;
110	98		3. Meals or pantry stocking;
111	99		4. Nutrition prescriptions; and
112	100		5. Grocery provisions.
113	101		D. Wherever feasible, the Authority and con tracted entities
114	102		under the state Medicaid program shall prioritize the inclusion of
115	103		community-based organizations and local growers to support the
116	104		purchase of locally grown food in nutrition prescriptions.

	107	+	there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
	108	+	The State Department of Education shall provide, to schools who
	109	+	apply for grants under the Oklahoma Farm to School Program Act
	110	+	codified at Section 5 -60.1 et seq. of Title 2 of the Oklahoma
	111	+	Statutes, technical assistance with applying for grants and
	112	+	administering programs that expand student access to fresh, healthy

157	144		be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
