6352 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
6453 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law not to be
6554 codified in the Oklahoma Statute s reads as follows:
6655 This act shall be known and may be cited as the “Food is
6756 Medicine Act”.

59+is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

95-SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
96-in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5009.7 of Title 63, unless there

98-A. The Oklahoma Health Care Authority shall seek any necessary
99-federal approval to provide coverage for nutrition supports under
100-the state Medicaid program for the purpose of implementing Food is
101-Medicine programs as provided by this section .
10290 B. Food is Medicine programs shall be designed to improve
10391 health outcomes for Medicaid members with nutrition -related chronic
10492 diseases through nutrition services and to reduce the need for
10593 medical care.
10694 C. Nutrition services covered under the state Medicaid program
10795 may include, but are not limited to:
10896 1. Case management;
10997 2. Nutrition counseling;
11098 3. Meals or pantry stocking;
11199 4. Nutrition prescriptions; and
112100 5. Grocery provisions.
113101 D. Wherever feasible, the Authority and con tracted entities
114102 under the state Medicaid program shall prioritize the inclusion of
115103 community-based organizations and local growers to support the
116104 purchase of locally grown food in nutrition prescriptions.
