63	63	An Act relating to welfare programs; defining term;
64	64	prohibiting this state and any political subdivision
65	65	of this state from providing univers al basic income;
66	66	providing for codification; and providing an

71	71	BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
72	72	SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
73	73	in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sectio n 270 of Title 56, unless there is
74	74	created a duplication in numbering, reads a s follows:
75	75	A. As used in this section, “universal basic income ” means any
76	76	welfare program that provides a recurring source of income in the
77	77	form of a government transfer payment to all residents or citizens
78	78	or all adult residents or citizens within a designated area or
79	79	political boundary, which income is provided without a means test or
80	80	work requirement.
81	81	B. No universal basic income shall be provided by this state or
82	82	any political subdivision of this state.
83	83	SECTION 2. This act shall becom e effective November 1, 2025.
