BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 49 -143.8 of Title 11, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, and persons receiving ben efits pursuant to Section 49 -101 of Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes, any member of the Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System receiving benefits from the System as of June 30, 2025, who continues to receive benefits on or after the effective date of this act shall receive a five percent (5%) increase in benefits. B. 1. For any member of the System who joined prior to January 1, 1981, who shall have his or her pensi on or the pension of his or her surviving spouse increased or decreased by on e-half (1/2) of all RBS No. 220 Req. For the purposes of this section, “regular firefighter” means a salaried firefighter who has reached his or her maximum salary as a private in his or her departm ent and has not been promoted to a position of rank. C. Effective July 1, 20 26, any persons receiving benefits pursuant to Section 49 -101 of Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes shall receive an increase of five percent (5%) of the amount prescribed in Section 49-143.7 of Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes. SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 50 -136.10 of Title 11, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows : A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, any person receiving benefits from the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System as of June 30, 2025, and who continues to receive benefits on or after the effective date of this act shall recei ve a five percent (5%) increase in benefits. B. For any member of the System who joined prior to January 1, 1981, who shall have his or her pension increased or decreased by one-third (1/3) of any increase or decrease to the base salary of a regular police officer, any increase in benefits a person is RBS No. 220 Req. SECTION 3. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1104L of Title 20, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: Any person receiving benefits from the Uniform Retirement System for Justices and Judges as of June 30, 2025, who continues to receive benefits on or after the effective date of this act shall receive a five percent (5 %) increase in benefits. SECTION 4. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2 -305.13 of Title 47, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, any person receiving benefits from the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System as of June 30, 2025, and who continues to receive benefits on or after the effective date of this act shall receive a five percent (5%) increa se in benefits. B. Any increase in benefits a person is eligible to receive pursuant to subsection B, C, or D of Section 2 -305 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes after the effe ctive date of this act shall be offset by the increase in benefits provided by this section. SECTION 5. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 17 -116.23 of Title 70, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: RBS No. 220 Req. SECTION 6. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 930.12 of Title 74, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: Any person receiving benefits from the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System as of June 30, 2025, wh o continues to receive benefits on or after the effective date of this act shall receive a five percent (5%) increase in benefits. 60-1-220 RD 12/20/2024 2:41:54 PM
