3839 An Act relating to courts; amending 20 O.S. 2021,
3940 Section 92i, which relates to candidates for district

4849 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
4950 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 20 O.S. 2021, Section 92i, is
5051 amended to read as follows:
5152 Section 92i. To file as a candidate for the office of district
5253 judge or associate district judge, one must have been a registered
5354 voter and actual resident of the appropriate county district for at
5455 least six (6) months prior to the first day of the filing period.
5556 Should no one file for any such office, and should a vacancy thereby
5657 created be filled by appointment according to law, there shall be no
5758 such residency or durational registration requirement imposed on the
5859 appointee, providing said the appointee is otherwise qualified, no r
5960 shall any person appointed to fill a vacancy in the office of
6061 district judge or associate district judge be required to comply

8991 No one who has been removed from judicial office or who has resigned
