79	79	WHEREAS, the State of Oklahoma has a rich history rooted in
80	80	faith, resilience, and a commitment to values that uplift its
81	81	people; and
82	82	WHEREAS, the acknowledgment of spiritual heritage has long b een
83	83	a cornerstone of the cultural identity of Oklahomans, reflecting the
84	84	beliefs and convicti ons of many of its citizens; and
85	85	WHEREAS, the phrase “Christ is King” represents a declaration of
86	86	faith for millions of Oklahomans and Christians worldwide,
87	87	symbolizing the sovereignty of Jesus Christ as a source of hope,
88	88	unity, and moral guidance; and

140	140	WHEREAS, the Oklahoma State Legislature seeks to affirm the
141	141	freedom of its citizens to express their deeply held beliefs,
142	142	including freedom of speech without fear of punishment or
143	143	retribution, recognizing the importance of religious liberty as
144	144	enshrined in both the United States Constitution and the Oklahoma
145	145	Constitution; and
146	146	WHEREAS, this proclamation serves as an expression of gratitude
147	147	for the blessings bestowed upo n the State of Oklahoma and as a
148	148	recognition of the enduring influence of Christian faith in the
149	149	lives of its people.
150	150	NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE 1ST SESSION
151	151	OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
152	152	CONCURRING THEREIN:
153	153	THAT the Oklahoma State Legislature hereby proclaims “Christ is
154	154	King,” recognizing the spiritual significance of this declaration to
155	155	many of its citizens and honoring the role of faith in the history
156	156	and culture of Oklahoma.
157	157	THAT the Oklahoma Stat e Legislature expresses that this
158	158	resolution is not intended to establish any religion or infringe
159	159	upon the rights of any individual, but rather to celebrate the
160	160	voluntary expression of belief that has shaped communities across
161	161	the state.
162	162	THAT copies of this resolution be distributed to the Governor of
163	163	Oklahoma and the Speaker of the Oklahoma Hous e of Representatives,
