7777 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7878 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
7979 SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for
8080 their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law,
8181 the following proposed amendment to Section 26 of Article II of the
8282 Oklahoma Constitution to read as follows:
8383 Section 26. The right of a citizen A well-regulated militia,
8484 being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the
8585 people to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person, or
8686 property, or in aid of the civil power, when thereunto legally

146146 THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITION IS AS FOLLOWS:
147147 This measure would amend Section 2 6 of Article 2 of the Oklahoma
148148 Constitution. This measure would provide that a well-regulated
149149 militia and the right of a citizen to keep and bear arms are
150150 necessary to the security of this state .

154154 SECTION 3. The President Pro Tempore of the Senate shall,
